The problem with captchas, the spammers just pay some guy in Bangalore 1c per captcha to get past them. Making the captchas harder or making posters arrange pictures of kittens in order of cuteness is not going to solve this problem.. perhaps you can pay some guy in Bangalore 1c per submitted message to answer the question 'is this comment spam' or 'does this comment have anything to do with encrypted filesystems'.
